On Friday, June 29th, Fred gave two presentations to two different lawyer associations. (1) In the morning, Fred presented at the Silverado Resort in Napa Valley, CA. He did an advanced training for the California District Attorneys’ Association state wide annual convention. He discussed the proper uses of “visual” advocacy at trial, and discussed the best practices, and common mistakes to avoid, in using PowerPoint presentations, video taped statements, computer animations, and virtual reality exhibits. (2) In the afternoon, Fred presented to the Capital City Trial Lawyers Association on “E-Discovery,” including issues involving the discovery of “metadata” in electronic documents, spoliation of electronically stored information and the recent amendments to the Rules of Civil Procedure involving e-discovery issues. |
